โšฝ๐Ÿ’™ Female Football Week Spotlight- Chelsie ๐Ÿ’™โšฝ

12 May by Jessica Odgers

This Female Football Week, weโ€™re shining a light on the incredible women and girls who make our club great โ€” and today weโ€™re celebrating Chelsie! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Chelsie first started playing soccer in the Under 10s at Phillip Island before taking a short break from the game. She returned to football with Korumburra City in our Under 13 Girls team and hasnโ€™t looked back since.

Despite only playing for a few years, Chelsie has already achieved so much. She has represented the GSL representative teams for the past two years as both a goalkeeper and centre back, and was selected for the metro team in Warragul before choosing to continue her journey at Burra ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ

Currently playing in both our Under 15 Girls and Senior Womenโ€™s teams, Chelsie has become an important part of our club on and off the field.

This year, at just 15 years old, she has stepped up to coach our Under 10s team โ€” sharing her knowledge, encouraging younger players, and helping grow the next generation of footballers. Having 3 brothers probably gave her plenty of experience with younger kids too ๐Ÿ˜†

Chelsie is also always willing to lend a hand by refereeing junior games when needed, showing the true community spirit that makes our club special.
Outside of soccer, she enjoys spending time with her friends (especially Daisy ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Weโ€™re so proud of everything Chelsie has already achieved and canโ€™t wait to see what the future holds for her in football โšฝโœจ
